My attempt at home laser hair removal

My attempt at home laser hair removal

My attempt at home laser hair removal

Me test driving the Silk'n Flash & Go from Sephora. I of course used this machine in much more detail/care and for a longer time than what's in video (otherwise it would have been really long! My dream is to permanently remove some of my most annoying body hair for good from the comfort of my own home! Just tried it for the first time, so it will be a while until the real results are in! Doesn't really hurt or leave marks that last...we'll see! And again, No, it does NOT hurt! At first the noise/flash were a bit surprising, but there is no pain involved. I have since tried it on my bikini line on the second setting, and though there was definitely more heat, there was no pain, and it not feel like a "rubber band snapping" as many people have said about laser hair removal. It will be a while and more treatments before I have the actual results!!!

  6. lol! You are too funny. I purchased the Flash & Go in March and it worked really great for me. Took more than a few treatments but I'm happy to say I'm not hair free for the summer. My bikini line has never been happier!

  11. I'm going to get another bulb and just keep going--I AM noticing an effect in other areas (bikini/underarm, probably because they grow in thicker, so any change will be more noticeable) and pray that with another bulb the random facial and neck hairs will die with persistence. It's tricky because they grow in so randomly and when I'm using I could be missing an area where a random hair comes in from time to time. I've been using on highest setting. Occasionally burns but nothing crazy.

  12. UPDATE: Mixed review so far. The stupid little chin/neck hairs that drive me CRAZY and the main reason I invested in this thing--still an annoyance, still there. I went through two bulbs (first one rather quickly because I was trying to do my legs in addition to facial/underarms/bikini, which was a little much). Now, it IS doing something, because my bikini line is growing in noticeably thinner/less even, and I've noticed I'm not getting ingrowns or needing to pluck as much below belly button.

  13. your video is so funny- like the shots haha. does it make your skin worse in terms of acne (don't know if you have pimples) but i wonder if it would make the acne worse.

  17. I have the same kind of hairs you have!! It's so annoying and I have very, very dark hair. When you look closely, then you can see my little hairs under my chin and on my face. Don't know how they got there but I know once I get this, the ugly hairs are coming off :D

  20. Thanks for your review! I look forward to your follow up. My journey through facial hair hell has taken me down the path of bleaching, electrolysis (ouch!), shaving (electric and razor), laser, and drug therapy. The best of which was the laser. The most expensive also being the laser. Best of luck on battling the beard!

  21. Thank you! I am hoping it is worth it! I will be totally satisfied if I don't feel the temptation to go plucking at my face every few days, and it would be heaven to not always be shaving bikini line/underarms. Really hoping this helps even if the results aren't perfect.

  23. I've done a second treatment since this video of bikini, face, legs, and underarms, and the first cartridge is still working (it comes with a second)--I will definitely keep you posted...my guess is I will need 3-4 cartridges to do all the areas I want (so just need to buy 2 extra), but the jury is of course still out!

  24. no, it doesn't hurt--on the higher settings it is hotter, but not painful so far--I was prepared for the worst since I read so many things about laser hair removal being painful (like the sensation of a rubberband snapping against your skin), so it definitely freaked me out at first! But so far it's fine!
