Silk'n SensEpil Review 2.0 New Video Review update on Silk'n SensEpil! I've had my Silk'n since May of 2010. If you have any other questions from a user's standpoint, feel free to ask!
Yes. But despite the myths of gnarled tubes growing out of your face if a razor does its thing, it will not grow back in thicker. That's impossible. Be careful though, they still pose the risk of razor burn and cuts - I am not liable for such accidents so take care trimming any whiskers. ;)
Shave. No waxing, bleaching, or voodoo magic. And remember - do NOT attempt to do anything above the cheekbone area. It's NOT meant to do your eyebrows....
Yes. And no. This is a hair removal product so you're asking it to distinguish and it will but you're going to get a course growth back after a few months. If you want something like that try the cheaper Remington product out there before splurging on this...
You're impatient. I get them right from the Silk'n site. And the price doesn't bother me as much as the idea of having a technician touch me for 4 times that cost a few times a month. Ugh. Two treatments every week in a DESIGNATED AREA. Ex Do your arm-pits first. That's a LOT of zaps per cartridge. If you're using two cartridges a week on your whole body, yeah, it's going to get pricey FAST. Most results will be after a month or two depending on variables, e.g. skin color.
Think an hour, hour and a half. Half an hour if you're 90lbs soaking wet. Watch a movie or play music or listen to tunes. It's sort of a zen out process.
Tealeh2 Two treatments won't show significant change. But I usually noticed hair ejection within a few weeks (1-3). Cartridges I get right from Silk'n. PERSISTENCE is key. This is a 18 month PROCESS. The price is high on the lamp cartridges but worth it for me. Keep using it. Target one or two specific areas for the first few months. Gets that area done and saves cartridges. You will see results with diligence.
well, I have used it twice so far; and see no change. Where do you get your cartridges??? The price doesn't seem to matter to you?? Two treatments every week....
Yes, after treatment I too put lotion on. But never-ever-ever-ever before a treatment. You should be clean (showered & shaved) and treat the area respectively. Then lotion up or whatever. The problem is the usage of light refraction with the lotion which is why you use it to dispurse light in, say, a tanning bed but NOT while trying to BBQ hair follicles. Also, you will miss patches because our hair isn't all on the same schedule/cycle. Just keep treating!!!
It does thin out hair but controlling that is kind of tricky. I notice most of my hair is thinner after using it on my arms and places I haven't treated as heavy as my legs. But sometimes I get a hair cycle that's still courser. But what Silk'n DOES provide is a tool you can keep using and playing with. Since it's not instant I would say you could use it for this and just tamper results as you need - and if you don't like it, sell it. Since the Silkn' doesn't depreciate in value as fast.
@GirlattheHelm is it okay if I put lotion after the treatment? Because I'm scared of doing anything lol. I have light brown skin and it hurts like a tiny rubberband hitting my follicles. I have it on setting 3 and it hurts a little too much with no side effects though. Do you think I should stay on setting 3? Or should I increase it to 5 after a few more treatments? This is my treatment #3 with 2 weeks between treatment and I already have lost a few patches(sadly I guess I missed some spot
Best plan of action: Do it 1x every week is my best advice for starters. If you're seeing sprouts don't immediately assume it's growing hair either! Hair will eject and fall out after treatment so the buds aren't the real deal, you've all ready cooked 'em! Don't get impatient. It's a process. And SOOO worth it .... I can't explain how nice it is to only have to shave 'on occasion'.... And stock. up. on. cartridges (I always keep extra!) That way you're always a head when you need 'em!
After about 1.5 or 2 months you notice the hair cycle thinning (for me it was ALOT). Hair ejecting begins after first treatment FYI though! I treated 2x each week, which wasn't recommended but I felt that waiting two weeks wasn't catching new 'sprouts' - I'm from a very hairy European family. That's not for everyone though. Test it out & see how your skin responds. AND if you do it 2x a week beware it might just be wasting cartridges if you're not a werewolf like I felt was.
Happy to see that you are still using it and getting good results!
ReplyDeleteI wished if you could show a before and after....or your progress pictures....

ReplyDeleteLight and medium skin tones. Check the website for Silk'n. They give you the gradient.
ReplyDeleteNo waxing. Shave only. Waxing takes out the root of the hair follicle which needs to get the blast. Do not wax! SHAVE!
ReplyDeletecan I wax to remove the hair in between?
ReplyDeletei want to know if we can use this device in all the skin tune ??or just light skin tune ?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info! How long does it take for a single leg treatment?

ReplyDeleteI'm a guy and I want hair gone in certain places, and in other places I just want less course/thinner/lighter hair. What would I do to achieve this?
