also this video mentions men and women need to use different razors? watch?v=rCxgCtD87kI&feature=related
ReplyDeleteand also, is the technique used by these girls correct? (add this to youtube url /watch?v=4sRkYcY9yNY) or would it just be the same as shaving for men as in your other video? the techniques and tools seem very different. You mention razors with many blades but they just use one tiny, strange looking facial razor and do tiny strokes on dry skin. thanks dr!
ReplyDeleteHi Dr Shultz, asides from the cultural stigma of a woman shaving her face, is there any other reason a woman shouldn't shave her face? In Japan a lot of women shave their faces, and Marilyn Monroe did. I've heard it is good for the skin and make-up applies better.
ReplyDeleteDR. SCHULTZ, COULD YOU PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO A REVIEW FOR TRIA AT HOME LASER HAIR REMOVAL WHICH IS JUST BEEN FDA CLEARED?
ReplyDeleteTHUMB IT UP SO HE CAN SEE IT!
@vanpk the shower gloves are good, but make sure they are coarse enough. The best one on the market is called "Riffi mitt" . They are amazing. A bit coarse at the start but very effective. Make sure you exfoliate against the growth direction of the hair only and do it everyday dry or in the shower. This should clear up the ingrowns in no time! We have over 30 years experience at my work (beauty salon) so we know how to get rid of them!
ReplyDeleteif you shave while your legs are dry, thats how people usually get in grown hair, hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteHaha you make me laugh, doc. I don't know about others, but when you said that threading done by professionals are remarkably fast, i found you rather cute :) love to have a granddad like that! Merry Christmas eve!
ReplyDeletethanks doc!!
ReplyDeleteExfoliate is really help for ingrown hair but remember to dont exfolaite after shaving because after shaving skin get soft, also if you have dry skin then hair not grows and stays under skin so after shower always apply moisturizer, hope it helps.
ReplyDeleteGood video, thanks doctor
ReplyDeletehe says in the video that there are other videos he's done about this subject. search through the videos.
ReplyDeleteYa I get really bad ingrown hairs all the time by my belly button. I have to pluck the unwanted hair everyday and still get ingrowns. It makes me super embarrassed to be intimate or where a bikini.
ReplyDeletecould you please do a video or tell me if facial hair bleach is good or bad for the skin thanks i dont want to pluck my hair out and i would like to bleach my facial hair since is not much..thanks
ReplyDeleteI tried the no-no. It was defective. Every time it would get near my skin, the cartridge would eject, and the hot wire would leave a burn. I tried another cartridge, and same thing.
ReplyDeleteI was able to return it without hassle, especially when I showed them the burns. They asked if I wanted to try another one.. Um. No Thanks!
It's really cheap now, probably because it's a pile of crap. If you try it, please be careful! Try it on your arms first, and don't let it near your face!
in your next video can you explain the differences between laser hair reduction and intense pulse light ipl hair reduction.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the informative videos
Thank! I've been using the shower gloves (Do you know what I mean?) Does that count as exfoliating? I also try to shave everyday. I don't know if it helped. I hate hair, unless it's on my head and eyebrows. lol
ReplyDeleteGreat tips.
ReplyDeletetry threading...safe & less painful , she can do it on her own once she gets the hang of it.. the hair doesnt come out thicker .
ReplyDeletehope it helps
Thanks doc! Can you please touch on facial hair for ladies???
ReplyDeleteI hope you get you answer but just in case.....exfoliating is a good way to reduce ingrowing hairs, normally doing it once a week is enough but it depends on each skin and on the product you use.
ReplyDeleteI shave and I have ingrown hair. What do I do to prevent that? Please answer my question
ReplyDeletehi I know someone who also had this problem for many years but she gets it waxed now every 3-4 weeks. You can also do this at home but thats not really a good idea. Where I live its not that expensive 5-6 dollars to get is done. And youre right shaving is not a good idea, its too harsh for the skin and can get irritated. Hope this helps you.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think about epilating facial hair?
ReplyDeletewhat about the no no hair remover???
ReplyDeleteMy girl has a mustache... I'm trying to find a way or her to rid it without shaving because she keeps crying about how it'll grow back thicker and even more.
